Well, it’s official:

I’ve decided to look for jobs in New York over Boston. Portland is still my number one, but there are a million more opportunities for the kind of work I want to do in New York than in Portland. This wave of optimism washed over me as I scanned Idealist.org posts for jobs in New York/Brooklyn. I feel like I can do so many of the one I want to; I actually feel qualified to be an adult and have a full-time job that will make some gram of difference. I will always want to go to Portland and will continue to look for jobs there/potentially move there in the future, but there’s something about New York that’s calling me in a way I just never heard before. I feel great about today, this weekend and the next part of my life.

Let’s hope this isn’t followed by a desperate GIF of crying babies expressing my squashed dreams….
